Training Aim
Our training on Sustainable Urban Drainage Design aims to assist engineers in the design of Stormwater Attenuation systems in line with the GDSDS guidelines. We focus on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills required to design effective and sustainable drainage systems.

Trainer’s Profile
Ivan McFadden
Ivan McFadden has worked in the construction industry for nearly 20 years. With a wealth of experience and expertise, Ivan spent 6 years working in Wavin’s Engineering and Technical Department. For the past 13 years, he has served as the Technical Manager for StormTech Attenuation system designs and is currently the Technical Manager at Resolute Engineering Group.
Qualifications:
- BEng in Electrical Services
- MSc in Energy Management (Graduated first in class)
- Thesis: Rainwater Harvesting Energy Potential

Course Duration
The CPD training program on Sustainable Urban Drainage Design is designed to be concise yet comprehensive, lasting 1 hour. This allows participants to gain valuable knowledge and skills without significant time commitment.
Assessment & Certification
Participants will earn CPD hours upon completing the Sustainable Urban Drainage Design training. The assessment involves practical exercises and quizzes to ensure understanding and application of the concepts taught. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a CPD certification accredited by Engineers Ireland.
